Travel under sail has a way of recalibrating time. Aboard the Maltese Falcon, now offered as a Jumeirah Privé Experience, the journey is shaped not by ports or clocks but by wind, water, and personal rhythm. This is ultra-luxury in motion—quiet, expansive, and deliberately unhurried—where the yacht itself becomes the destination.
For Those Who Seek…
- Absolute privacy without isolation
- Freedom from fixed itineraries and crowded marinas
- A design-driven yacht with true sailing pedigree
- Celebration travel that feels personal rather than performative
- Space, silence, and service that never interrupts the moment
Legacy

Launched in 2006 by Perini Navi, the Maltese Falcon redefined what a sailing yacht could be. Its groundbreaking DynaRig system—three towering carbon-fiber masts supporting automated square sails—allowed the yacht to sail efficiently, quietly, and with remarkable stability. A recent refit has refreshed interiors and onboard systems while preserving the vessel’s unmistakable profile, ensuring it remains as relevant today as it was revolutionary at launch.
The Yacht

At 88.1 meters, the Maltese Falcon is among the world’s largest and most recognizable sailing yachts. The onboard experience is defined by scale used thoughtfully: expansive decks that encourage outdoor living, a central multi-deck atrium with sculptural staircase, and interiors designed to feel calm, modern, and residential rather than nautical.
Suites & Private Living

Accommodation is intentionally limited to maintain a sense of private residence rather than floating hotel. Up to 12 guests are welcomed across six suites, including a full-beam master suite and a VIP suite, each offering generous proportions, en-suite bathrooms, and quiet separation from shared spaces. The atmosphere throughout is refined and restrained, designed for long, comfortable stays.

Dining & Culinary Moments

Dining aboard the Maltese Falcon is fully bespoke and entirely schedule-free. Menus are tailored to guest preferences and the regions being sailed, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and unfussy elegance. Breakfasts stretch into late mornings under sail, lunches unfold between swims and shore visits, and evenings are reserved for candlelit dinners on deck or intimate indoor settings when the wind turns cool.
Wellness & Time at Sea

Wellness on board is understated and intuitive. A dedicated massage space and fitness equipment support personal routines, while the true luxury lies in unstructured time—morning swims from the stern, afternoon naps with the sails overhead, and evenings spent watching the horizon fade without interruption.
The Journey

Each voyage is fully customized, with seasonal itineraries typically spanning the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter. Routes adapt to weather conditions and guest preferences, allowing the yacht to anchor in secluded coves, arrive quietly at historic ports, or simply stay under sail longer when the conditions are perfect. The experience officially joined the Jumeirah Privé portfolio in December 2025, offering a fully managed, ultra-discreet charter option.
Signature Moments

- Sailing silently as the DynaRig unfurls and the engines disengage
- Swimming directly from the yacht into clear, open water
- Arriving early to coastal towns and departing before the crowds arrive
- Late-night cinema or stargazing on deck, far from artificial light
Keepsakes

What lingers after the journey is a recalibrated sense of luxury—one defined by space, silence, and control over time. As part of the Jumeirah Privé portfolio, the Maltese Falcon becomes more than a standalone voyage; it is a floating extension of Jumeirah’s most private experiences worldwide. For many guests, the true keepsake is continuity—the ability to move from sea to shore, yacht to residence, journey to stay, without ever leaving the world of quiet, considered luxury.
